Accessing a government website takes me to porn site or not available, never happened before, whats

I have been able to access a govt website with no problems for years, now suddenly I am told on both firefox and IE that the site doesn't exist...which it most certainly does....or it takes me to one of those generic 'porn' access sites. I can go to the govt sites from other comps no problem. So why is it not recognized now and how do I fix it?

I have run Avast, yahoo anti spy, and adaware and nothing is picking up a problem.

Try clearing your DNS and clearing temp files.

Start =%26gt; Run =%26gt; type "cmd" (no quotes)

type "ipconfig /flushdns" (no quotes) press enter

close command prompt and open your Internet browser.

Clear cookies and temp files.

try another spyware remover such as

finally check your URL, most government sites ends with ".gov" not a .com, .net and the like
