Avast4 or agv free?

i have just installed avast4 on my wifes machine as she had avg on it ,and did,nt like it

also avg found 23 virus,s which it took with it on un-install,and avast4 found none on its first scan which was expected

i just like the whole set-up on avast ,it looks better,it performs better and its free

so what do you think,i would like to hear your views on avg and avast4 but for now ,i think i will stick with avast4

that's a tough question. if i were you, i would keep both. they're excellent anti virus' programs...

also, for security against spyware, download for free, from www.download.com, one or two of the following programs:

-etrust pest patrol

-ad-aware SE personal

-ewido anti malware 3.5

-spybot search and destroy

-spy sweeper

Don't know about avast4, but I used to use AVG and it worked fine. I now use McAffee though, along with AdAware, and Microsoft Defender.

I believe a combination of AVG 7 and Lavasoft`s Ad-aware will provide a sufficient level of protection to the Computer as well as not slow it down.
