Google decktop and mcafee security center programs, dump or not?

My new laptop came install with these programs both programs act like they want to take over everything if you know what I mean, are these good program to keep or should I dump them and put in the program that do not what to take over like, avast av, and for firewall zonealarm, not to sure about the new zonealam for vista, but I do not like mcafee firewall

Definitely dump BOTH of them. Google spies on you and McAfee is nothing but bloatware that doesn't do its job worth cr@p.



Definitely go with the Avast and instead of Zone Alarm which leaks like a sieve, is root-kitted and phones home with all your info. Replace ZA with Comodo Firewall when it comes out for Vista.

I have Mcafee and I think this is OK.
