SBC DSL dropping connection with Limewire and Bittorent?

I have SBC/AT%26T DSL service, and it constantly drops its connection when I'm using programs like Limewire or BitTorrent.

It seems like it happens whenever I'm trying to download something from Limewire but I'm also surfing other web pages. All of a sudden the connection to the internet will drop, and the only way to get it back is to restart the computer and restart the DSL modem. I have Windows XP Firewall turned ON and I am also using AVAST! anti-virus. Anyone have similar problems and is there a way around it?

Totally normal.

Each time you will connect to a busy server like Torrent or Limewire you will have your internet connection droping on speed.

Sometimes when you have Bitorrent on you can't even browse

the net.

The reason is : It takes much of your ressources to access

and dealing with such servers.

An internet connection can become slow or stop working due to a number of reasons depending on the type of the connection. Many of the problems can be solved by making software changes or small hardware corrections. Detailed instructions at http://tinyurl.com/yl62gz
Go to Start -%26gt; All Programs -%26gt;Accessories -%26gt; System Tools -%26gt; Security Centre.

At the dialog box that apperas, click on "Windows Firewall" under "Manage Security Settings for".

At the dialig box that appears, click on the "Exceptions" Tab. Click against Limewire to check the check box.

Now when Limewire is running, the Windows Firewall will not block it.
