Ack! One last time!!!! EXTRA DETAILS! Wallpaper LOCKED!?

Okay, this is my last time to post this..

After 5 times I keep getting the same things.

Okay, so I did the whole delete the..

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

\Software\Microsoft\

Windows\CurrentVersion

\Policies\ActiveDesktop

The other one in the local_user [I believe] was not there so I could not delete it.

But by deleting that it only let me to put the background on IF I chose to set it through IE by right click -%26gt; set background...

After I ran Avast! I had set it into the virus chest... restarted but still I got this when I went to go change my wallpaper on my desktop.

So what's wrong now?

If I click "open virus chest" will that let the viruses out? Or will it let me see them and delete them? Or do I just leave them there?

Hopefully someone will give me the right answer to fix my problem. So I don't have to keep posting the same question!

have you tryed going to safe mode F8 when computer is first starting

then running your programs such as:

AVG virus

AVG anti spyware.malware,rootkits

both found at www.grisoft.com

spybot search %26 destroy

superantispyware http://superantispyware.com

also sounds like you need a registry repair program

free ones can be found at pcworld.com-download library

you asked about paid for programs, I use a paid spyware %26 reg-repair, they are never installed on computer but instead kept on disc and jump drive
