AVG question?

I am currently using AVG and Avast! and have a couple of questions.

1) Which, in your opinion, is better? (As in thorough scanning, not speed).

2) Am I able to uninstall AVG without crippling my computer?

Also, a reformat question:

1) If I reformat, will I have to reconfigure my network connections?

Thanks in advance.

AVG question?virus protection

AVG is better

2. Normally you just need to install the driver if its a NIC

For wireless you need the drivers and any encryption key you are using

FYI

For a Cost

This is my recommendation for anti-virus. Free are good, but they are not as accurate as the top paid anti-virus software

Top-Tier

AVG question?agv

1. Depends; this is the best answer anyone can give. Reason, too many varibles. Trial and error is this problems answer.

2. This depends too, if your OP (like Windows xp) is used it can auto detect your network connections as long as your connection isn't overly complicated. A general dsl or cable connection should have no problems. It will happen with your eyes closed.
You should never run two anti-virus programs on your computer. Bad idea.
