Computer Virus? Problems with my keyboard...?

I have two computers, both hooked up to the internet. My other one suddenly (like right now!) starting acting funny. The keyboard starting acting funny and then stopped working altogether. (Although the print/lock/home keys work still??) And now the icons on my desktop aren't linked to what they are supposed to be. I can't open certain programs. I ran Avast! And Ad-Aware and they found nothing! Did they miss something? Did my 2 year old reprogram something? Yes.. she was hitting the keys but this is ridiculous..... how can I fix this if it isn't a virus. I can't type any letters or numbers

you mention avast and ad-aware but no anti-virus program. if you don't have an anti-virus you could have problems. AVG ant-virus is free and it is good.

it may not be a virus but you may have been hi-jacked where someone else has taken over your computer. yes, this is possible.

the only thing you could do in this case or if it is a virus is do a system restore and then get proper protection, anti-virus, make sure your firewall is on, etc
