How to delete?

I am trying to delete avast antivirus from my pc as there is a fault with it but it wont let me uninstall it from add/remove or from anywhere else.

Icant even get the icon removed from my taskbar

Try start/all programs/run. Then type msconfig press enter. On the startup tab, look for avast and de-select if it's there.

Some antivirus can be done like that. Visit to Avast website. See if you can have uninstaller of its antivirus. If it doesn't have, the only one is formatting your hard disk.

do a system restore click start%26gt;%26gt;all programs%26gt;%26gt;accessories%26gt;%26gt;system tools%26gt;%26gt;system restore can that should get rid of the program u want gone
run the installer and install it even though you have it installed already. it might give you the option to repair then you can remove it.

press ctrl+alt+delete and go into processes and look for the anti virus and click end process or just right click the icon on the tskbar and lick end or quit or somthing like that its usually the last option

I had an issue close to this and I got so annoyed I just reset the comp, but try downloading SBC Yahoo Online Protection this removes a lot of issues and doesn't pop up at random times to annoy you.
unplug you pc...then plug it back in
