AVG does not have a good removal rate It can't handle the more modern threats it also falsely reports removals , here's a few that I rate (not no.1's but worthy of consideration) Clam, NOD32 (32bit/64bit), Pc-Chillin and maybe Panda Titanium (Resource Magnet like Norton).



You 'could 'see my other answers for further insight. A good Antivirus depends a many 'modules' how strong is the heuristic engine, is its self-check/verification routine(s) air-tight? What are the Scanning Abilities of any particular Antivirus Program. Here's a few capabilities you should consider before you hand out that hard earned cash of yours!
